News and Do's

Prayer Meeting. Imagine a dimly lit room full of padded chairs with music playing gently in the background. A small group of people have gathered together with one purpose in mind and that is to share the concerns of their hearts. Entering into the room you get the feeling of peaceful serenity. Sitting in the silence of the moment with only the soothing sounds of music filtering through the air you have time for reflection.
   After a period of time, someone begins to sing and you notice as you allow your eyes to look up that words to the songs are being shown on the wall. You feel welcomed to join in with other voices as praise and worship come from a grateful heart. When the music stops, the concerns which once lay silently upon the hearts of individuals are now spoken out in verbal prayer. No one forces you to pray and yet you know that you are more than welcome to pray outwardly as the Lord might lead you.
   Prayer meeting at the Good Shepherd Church of the Nazarene is a time when you can meet with the Lord in quiet reflection, sing with the others, pray outwardly, or simply continue in your silent time of worship. We welcome you and invite you to join us on Tuesday evenings at 7 P.M. as together we journey closer to God.

Prayer Chain - When you request prayer, we let our phone list of people who are willing to pray for you know. Need prayer - call or email the pastor.

Men's group. The men’s ministry at the Good Shepherd Church of the Nazarene seeks to fulfill our church’s mission of bringing Christ to people and people to Christ. We do that by uniting men of all ages in realizing what it means to be a true Christian man and devoted follower of Jesus Christ. Our relationship with our families, friends, communities, and places of employment is enriched through biblical principles and the example of Jesus Christ. More...

Women's Fellowship. The Bible teaches "Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live...then they can train the younger women...so that no one will malign (criticize) the word of God." This group of women meet together to encourage other women, mentoring one another in the faith. We meet monthly. Although our meetings and activities vary from month to month, one constant is our devotional time and prayer.

Youth Group: Saturday evenings at the church. Fun, study, and community service.
